GTV-WHDMI (Discontinued)
Description
Wireless for HDMI (5 GHz Radio Technology) (Discontinued)
GTV-WHDMI
Alternative: GTV-WIRELESSHD
Features:
The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI Extender delivers a plug-and-play wireless solution for HDMI sources placed up to 30 meters away from HDMI displays. Hi-def resolutions of up to 1080p/30 or 1080i/60 are supported along with 5.1-channel digital audio and 2-channel analog audio. Broadcast mode allows extension of HDMI to up to 256 wireless locations (without HDCP), while Unicast mode extends HDMI to a single wireless location (using an HDCP-compliant display).
The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI Extender is a wireless solution for extending any A/V sources utilizing HDMI such as satellite boxes, DVD players, and Blu-Ray players to a remote display. The Wireless for HDMI will even penetrate through walls and does not require line-of-sight alignment of the units for good reception.
Note:
CEC Protocol Support: This unit passes the CEC protocol.
Multichannel Audio: Compressed 5.1-channel digital bitstream audio (embedded in the HDMI signal) and 2-channel LPCM analog audio (on RCA output jacks) are output by the Receiver unit.
Broadcast Mode: HDCP is not supported in Broadcast mode. Unicast mode is fully HDCP compliant (displays must also be HDCP compliant). Up to 256 remote receivers may be active simultaneously. To initiate Unicast and Broadcast modes, Sender and Receiver units need to be in the same mode (Unicast or Broadcast) for a successful transmission. The power LED will be green (Unicast) or red (Broadcast) on both Sender and Receiver units before you are ready to initiate the selected mode.
Link LED on Sender unit: 3 types of behavior will be observed: quick blinking, slow blinking, and steady. A quick blinking LED means that the Sender unit and Receiver unit are establishing the connection (including the HDCP authentication) wirelessly. A slow blinking LED means that the connection has been established and the audio/video is about to be passed over from Sender to Receiver. A steady LED means that full operation is established and there is a picture showing on the destination display(s) connected to the Receiver(s).
Link LED of Receiver: There are 3 types of behavior: quick blinking, slow blinking, and steady. A quick blinking LED means that the Sender unit and Receiver unit are establishing the connection (including the HDCP authentication) wirelessly. A slow blinking LED means that the connection has been established and the audio/video is about to be passed over from Sender to Receiver. A steady LED means that the Sender and Receiver are in full operation with a picture showing on the display(s) connected to the Receiver unit(s).
